Well after 2 years of camping in a tent on bank holiday Monday we went to a caravan dealer to 'have a look' we saw one we really liked and on the Wednesday I was on the phone asking them to keep it as we are going to buy it. So Friday came we were back at the dealer and before I know it i'm signing the paper's and being told to collect it the following Saturday! Wow i'm now so very excited!
Better tell you what it is!!
Well it's a 2001 Bailey Majestic so please let me know what you think about them we had my mother in law inspect it over who has been caravanning for over 25 year's she said it's in really good nick. She came stright out and asked the dealer for some free bee's, I could have died untill the very nice man said 'So are you starting from scratch?' I said 'Yeah' so he through's in a brand new Waste Master and Aqua Roll, 2 refilled gas bottle's, Hitch cover ans number plate. Well i could have kissed the mother in law. I was so pleased!
So to go on but i'm so excited i can hardly sleep (what a sad person your proberley all thinking!)

Congratulations on the new caravan. NO you are not Sad, well if you are then so are we all cos i still get excited about my caravan. We will going away in it for the 1st time this weekend coming. I just can't wait and this afternoon we are going to be in it tidying it up for next week. The sun is shining and i'm hoping that it will be like that next weekend too.
No, you're not sad. When we got our first 'van in Sept 2005 we sat out in it for hours sometimes just admiring it (we store it in our garden).
Well done to your M-I-L though for getting some freebies. The cost soon mounts up otherwise with all the little extra's.
I can't comment on the Bailey Majestic but we changed ours last August for a 2002 Senator Vermont and absolutely love it so far.
I am sure someone will come back to you and let you know more about your 'van - they're a great bunch of people on here - try to keep me off this site!
Our 1st trip is early May - can't wait! Hubby has gone out to our local caravan centre to buy some cleaning stuff and no doubt will pootle back with a load of other bits n bobs as well.
well done, we havent been out in our tin tent yet, still getting things together, booked 10 days in Bude August, looking to book for end of may, cant wait.
We traded our trailer tent for a Bailey Ranger, last year.
Since then we have used it more than we would have used the trailer. We were away over the New Year, down at Thetford a month ago, and last weekend at Scarborough in the snow.
I hope you take to it like we do, it really is fantastic. You will find this site to be very useful for anything you need to ask.
Hi lyns, congratulations on your caravan, we were campers too until we had a bad summer in 2001 snapped tent poles, soaked and I drove home the next day with squelching feet, after that I bought our first caravan and wish I'd done it years ago, when the weather turns rough you always have a dry retreat and after the summer we had last year I'm sure every camper can relate to that.....enjoy!
