Hi folks,
With the new season just starting im looking to add a motor mover to my van ive searched through the forums but cant find the answer i am looking for.
can anyone tell me what type of chasis my 1999 elddis typhoon XL has and what type and make of motor mover would best suit it?
i am intending to buy second hand maybe but im not sure what to go for model and make wise, so any pointers would be great.

What colour are the handbrake and jockey wheel handle? Alko chassis have red 'bits', BTW (which Explorer Group use now, don't know about 1999) have blue bits.
I don't know about the other makes, but we have a PowrTouch fitted to a BTW chassis and have no problems.

If it's not an early BPW the it'll probably be an ALBE chassis - I had a late 90's elddis a few years ago and the standard hitch (non-stabiliser) had ALBE stamped on it which I took to be the maker of the chassis as well !
As far as I'm aware, both powr touch and truma/carver movers simply clamp onto the chassis rail so if the chassis is normal 'c' cross section then you should be ok with either as they're fairly well adjustable as well, can you tell I've removed and fitted a powr touch before ? I've got the bruises to prove it too !

the next thing is... does anyone have a copy of some fitting instructions for a powertouch mover? or can you point me in the right direction?.. oh an i hope the bruises dont get too severe Lol
