Hi
I came across this site for those of us who use a dish setup. HERE
Put in the location of the site, and it gives a google map with the calculations for the dish and lnb etc.
Might be useful in choosing a pitch beforehand.
Cheers
Paul

Thats very interesting. The postcodes don't seem to be in the right place but you can drag the pointer to where you are.

I'm sorry, it might well be me, but I don't see the helpfulness of this calculation.
I, like everyone else I know, just point the dish at 145deg, and wobble it about a bit until the signal strength goes up and sky locks on
If I'm wrong, please correct me
You are right though, the postcodes aren't right

Post codes were wrong for me too, but was able to move to the correct location.
Interesting data on skewing the LNB, didn't know it made that much difference.

I've been allocated a pitch for our holidays in France, and can check in advance that it should be ok for satellite (trees etc).

First time I set up took me hours!!!!!!! Now as you arrive look for a clear view South
Set up dish with sat finder connected. Point it to the East and VERY slowly turn it towards the south. The first sat you pick up is the Sky one. Dont forget that it takes a little while to get through to your set. Last time it took me 4 minutes!!!!!!! All the best
