Hi
We have recently purchased a 2007 Senator Louisiana and used it for the first time this weekend. Every thing was fine except the water pump was very noisy. I have read previous posts regarding this issue and was wondering if anyone else has the same problem and could provide any further advice? One previous post mentioned a pump upgrade for £25 and fitted under warranty by Bailey. The van is due for its first service soon, should I consider this and see if I can get a replacement fitted at the same time as the service? Any advice appreciated.
When we had our louisiana, it too had a noisy pump, when it went in for its first service we mentioned it and it was replaced under warranty at no extra cost to us.
We are more aware of the noise generated from our pump as its actually in the van & not in the bottom of the aquaroll. I read a few posts regarding noisy pumps around the time we bought our van which did concern me, but since getting the van i don't think that it is over noisy or offensive. The pump is actually under the side dinette where my daughter sleeps & has never been woken up by it.
We have a Senator Oklahoma and it had a noisey pump it got changed under warrenty and the new one is not too bad far from silent I have found if I drain the system down and refill from scratsh its a bit quieter so when on site I never remove the water filter from the barrel I have a smaller one which I tip into the 40 litre Aquaroll so I never have to rebleed the system

It sounds like its just building the pressure back up again, what you can try is under the QA label there is a small stud with an alan key adjustment, you can try moving it anti-clockwise a quarter turn and see if this helps, bear in mind which way it was beforehand and memorise the position to turn it back if this doesn't help as it is set at different pressures. Failing that i would suggest a Surge Damper (http://www.whalepumps.com/caravan_RV/product_list/16/75/) let me know how you get on?

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
We also have a noisy pump so at the weekend I lifted the pump clear of the floor, in it's place I laid a thick piece ( about 1") of dense sponge I found at work. On top of the sponge I laid a 3/4" piece of wood and drilled the 4 corners so I could screw this sandwich to the caravan floor. I then re-fitted the pump on top of the sandwich, this has isolated it from the bare boards and I now have a much quieter pump.
Thank you for all the replies and advice, I have now booked our caravan in for its first service. I have asked them to check the pump out at the same time. I have read about other people having the same problem, ours is so loud I was worried about using the taps at night just incase it woke our little boy. Hope they find something during the service if not I may have to get my screwdriver out and try Jim's solution.
