Sorry to bring up an old subject again
I have just bought an Elddis Tornado XL '91 with a Cascade 2 water heater.
My question is, if it was the gas + 240v mains model, would the panel with the switch and 3 light's have a thermostat built in (mine doesn't)?
Regards,
Tony.

If it is the 2E model, i.e. with the option of electric use, there is a separate switch nearby for that, bit like a light switch.------------- Caz
If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.

Hi Tony, if you have the gas only heater the thermostat is located behind the outside cowling. Just remove the four x-head screws and cowl you will see a flap, under this flap is a knob by which you can adjust the water temp. Bit by bit adjustment is best.

Thank's Shanty
This is my second caravan, but it's the first with hot water... do I leave the water heater on for the duration of my stay on site, or only switch it on when I require the hot water - if so, how long before the water would be up to temperature?

leave on full time if you like, but on gas it could cost you.it gets to 70 then stays there.about 20/30 minites to heat up.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Thank's Michael
Would the 9 litre tank capacity be enough for a decent shower, or would it need to be a quicky only?
Sorry for all the questions!

the only silly question is the one not asked, the answer is somewhere in between,as you draw hot water it fills with cold behind it,so if you use a constant flow from the start one good shower is possible. ------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
