Am thinking of buying a porch awning and have spent ages looking at various websites, but (and I have a feeling it's a nasty but) what happens if your van's on a slope. Our touring van is permanently pitched, but unfortunately it's on an incline.  Are there any porch awnings that can cope with this?  Thanks

Depends on the angle of the incline I suppose. Most porch awnings can be stretched a bit by the elastic peg loops but be careful of putting too much strain on the seams. In your case I think canvas is much more suitable than plastic
