Hello everyone. Does anybody know if there is a website that gives details of seasonal pitches available or is it a case of travelling around to find one ? I have had the details sent to me for a site in Devon but seems very expensive 15th March - 25th October £1575 and an extra £110 for the dog !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No mention of winter storage. What does anyone think please ?
That is the going rate in Devon, very similar to what we pay in South Devon. Some sites are up to £2,500 to £3,000! Places are limited and waiting lists are usually lengthy.
Depends on how far you want to travel, and what you want from the site, and whats near by, eg, beach, etc
We havee just gone to a site over Shropshire way, its lovely couldn't have asked for a better one, we wanted it for weekend use, so not to far away, but not on the door step! we wasnt bothered about a beach as long as the site was clean and nearby pub then we was happy,
We pay £690.00 for a year which includes winter storage! and electric pitch, we have to pay £2.25 per night when we use it! The pitches with no electric is £590.00 per year, and no cost when you use, also with those pitches the caravan is set up and left all year round! bonus when you arrive late, no need to level it out! but we like the use of electric! The site is open from march till october, and i've seen dogs there, We just paid that price, doesn't matter how many peeps are useing it!
Also, there is some in Stourport! but more expensive! lickhill i think is one, but you are looking at a grand or more!

Good Luck
If you don't mind me asking, which one is it and do you know whether there are any spaces? We're hopefully buying a van soon and wanted a seasonal pitch but haven't been able to find one at a sensible price - Shropshire would be perfect for us. I promise we're not stalkers
Its "The Green" you can read reviews on this site, about them! very good site, well we like it any way, but each to their own! its clean, hot water, ok you have to pay for the showers but its only 20p and it hot! well maintained and fresh flowers in the loos!
I think there is pitches but I wouldnt like to confirm! saw some non electric spaces when we were there last, which was whitsun week, we are going tomorrow! give them a call, the lady that deals with everything is called Karen nice lady!
I know that they are funny with how big the van is, think no bigger than 21ft but I think thats with electric, don't think they are that bothered if its none electric! If you can understand me!
Give them a call, nothing ventured nothing gained!!!
Cheers - gave them a ring this afternoon but the lady who deals with that side of things is away until the weekend so I'll try again then. Must admit it looks a nice quiet site, which is what we want just for weekends.
Thats good, well good luck, we are going down tomorrow,
It is a lovely site, some reviews do say is gets busy and loads of kids, we are have have a son, but i can say " yes there is children, but dont you get that on most sites, unless you go to adult only" i think caravaning/camping is about hearing the cheers and laughs coming from children! thats what makes it!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
