Buying an Avondale Leda Quantock 4/5 birth on Sunday its about 1989 model i think. Just wondering if anyone knew what sort of weight they are? Been told by the people selling it, i should have no problem pulling with our Renualt Megane Scenic 2.0rxe, but id still like know the proper weight as well. Any other info greatly appreciated too.
not sure if of any help. i had an avondale leda malvern 6 berth total length 21 foot unladen weight was 920 kg.towed with a 1.8 modeo diesel didnt know it was there.
I wouldn't have thought you'd have a problem towing the caravan as Avondale Leda's are quite light caravans. Found this on the net Click_here and Click_here ( weight in description ) . If you were to go by the weight's i've found , if you loaded the caravan to the maximum you would be towing at 91% , so with sensible packing you should be able to get nearer the recommended 85% .
Just got back from having the towbar fitted as only fairly recently bought our car too! Went for a Witter bar thanks to some sound advice from this site.
