Hi all,

I have the option of buying a 5 year old Bradcot Active awning with a sloping annexe in as new condition (so i'm told) for £270.00 inc delivery. Or a brand new Pyramid Tuscany awning for £286.00 inc delivery. Which one would you choose.

Torn on what to go for. which one would you buy?

Many thanks

horses for courses we have a tuscany and love it but it is the sort of awning that is suitable more for touring use and not seasonal.

Hi, we've just brought a pyramid awning.  Having had a look at the range in the caravan showroom, I would have to agree with CezzaE.  Initially I was after the tuscany one, however, it did feel very thin in comparison to the Corsican one, which we ended up with.  I'm afraid i can't comment on the other awning, sorry.

Hope your happy with whatever you choose.

Hi LJ

Whilst I'm no expert, I do have a pyramid Tuscany awning, it came free with my van which I picked up last friday week, I put it up in the rain and for a first timer with an awning it went up very easily even in the rain, ok it's not the best awning in the world but it's a god price for a new one, the second hand one I presume won't come with any sort of guarantee or consumer rights as a new one, one thing we did was to spray it with some water profer as it had some tiny drips of water in the rain last weekend so whilst it was dry on the sunday we gave  it a good covering, last week during the rain we had in brightlinsea it did not leek once, so my own choice  would be to go for the new one. Hope this helps

Alan

Thank you for all your advice. I have gone for the Bradcot as it came with an Annexe and inner tent. In the end i got it for £226.50 inc delivery which i think is a bargain although i have not seen it yet so hopefully i will think the same when its here!

Can i just say Happy caravaning to Alan, we have been doing it for just over a year now and love it. Hope you have many happy holidays.

Lisa
