We have just sold our Compass and are now lookingfor a new van. But I think we are being too fussy. We would like an L shape lounge and a fixed bed but the bed has got to be facing towards the lounge not crossways right next to the caravan door. Do such vans exsist? I can only seem to find twin axels in this layout which is what we don't want as we are getting rid of the 4x4 in favour of a smaller car. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes we need L shape lounge as the last van had one the bailey vendee has L shape lounge but the bed faces the wrong way, you can close it off but there's no room to get changed.

We have an Avondale Argente 555-4 which has an L shaped lounge and the fixed bed is on the same side as the caravan door but faces forward. The MRO is 1125kg and we tow this with a VW Passatt 1.9 diesel which according to 'What Tow Car' is a 87% ratio and is fine. It is a single axel.
Hope this helps.
