If you have got a 'Sat Nav' you might find this website quite interesting as it can provide downloads of 'Points of Interest' (POI's) in the following categories:
Road Safety, Shopping, Restaurants, Petrol, Accommodation, Tourist locations, WiFi Hotspots, Automotive, Transportation, Postcodes, Recreation, Computers, Society, Unclassified, Local POIs, Custom POIs

You can download files for a variety of different Sat Navs makes, and also get files for other countries, (Europe etc).
It's just provided me with 4 POI files that will be really useful for finding some places as well as Safety Cameras.

Having looked at the site you mentioned I have to say that firstly you have to 'register' and secondly some of the POI's that you can get you have to pay for, whilst the other website is completely free with no registration required.

I'm sure you now have to pay for any file downloads at Pocket GPS world. They were free at one time, but I think the last update I got for the TomTom was a couple of years ago, and they said then that the next update would have a charge.

Hi, have been a member for many years so not realised that you had to now pay for some of the POI's. If you want free lifetime membership then just add a speed camera thats not listed. Must say tho that the info that is available its definately worth the few minutes taken to register.
Its free and the POIs are generally accurate. Have found some POIs really useful. Apart from the obvious ones, the supermarket ones are great when camping, as its always a hassle to find the nearest supermarket.
Thanks for the additional information but even though I have a TomTom the website that I posted covers 14 different GPS Manufacturers which includes Garmin, TomTom, Navman etc etc, which I thought was a bit more multi-user friendly than catering for 1 or 2, after all there are a heck of a lot of 'others' out there!
