Hiyas I'm new to vans and am a bit befuddled by the electrics, now i've been told to use any appliance i need an inverter does this include when i'm hooked up on site?or is it just when i'm not hooked up.

if you are on hook up then you use the pwer in your van as you would at home, but watch out for the amperage so you dont blow the sites supply, on a site without hook up you can only run smaller powered items from an inverter, so dont expect one to run you eletric kettle, invertors are only any good for doing things like charging your phone or perhaps running your tv but for small amounts of time or you will end up with a flat battery, it has to get the power form somewhere so if you start with 12v and then bump it up to 240 then the drain is going to be way higher than if you just used the tv on 12v anyway. hope that makes it easier to understand
