Galmpton Touring Park take dogs from the 25th August as we're going on 30th not sure what availability they have though as although i only booked last week i think they were nearly fully booked.

Higher well farm is a nice site we stayed at last year and i think they take dogs all the time. Not a good approach road to it though with a caravan on the back.

I did ring around a lot of sites before i could find one with a available pitch i must admit.

This is why i cant understand that we have to pay for dogs when they do not use any of the facilities.

So whan we go away next week i shall make sure that our Bradley has a shower every day, play ball in the play area, and i must teach him how to use the loo and flush the chain after himself !!!!!

Rather narrow view. Many owners use their own van facilities (as we do), but there are no price reductions for this.

The real problem is not the dogs; it is the owners who do not observe the rules; so many site owners operate on the basis that they should be either heavily charged or banned entirely.

On a site we go to in Cornwall, we often saw a fellow with 2 springer spaniels. Then one year, though he knew the 2-dog rule, he turned up with three dogs.  Also, he refused to have them leashed, and took exception to being told off about it, and then seemed surprised by being told not to visit the site again.

Bertie.
