Hi

Just returned from our first trip out with the Freedom and we are very pleased with it.  OH was fine but I was a bit nervous about towing but it towed it easily just as OH (and others on this forum) said it would

We were a bit worried about the fact that it is a continental van as one site refused us for fire regulations but The Shrubbery near Lyme Regis found us a nice spot to pitch and the weather was lovely.  Being a small caravan we sort of danced around each other but soon sorted a ourselves out.

So, baptism of fire over, we are now caravanners and looking forward to further trips.

Will put a review of site on as we feel that it is very helpful to see the reviews.

Carol

Glad you enjoyed your first trip and that your continental van posed no problem.  You were so luck with the great weather this weekend!

Glad you enjoyed it, We saw 3 other freedoms on the motorway yesterday perhaps they will be the way forward when we can't afford to run our big cars anymore!

Glad you had a good time and great weather for it!

Off topic I know, (Oh, glad you had a good trip!;-) )
But today I was behind a Toyota Yaris with a Witter Towbar and TWIN electrics. Goodness only know what they tow, it can only be something like a Freedom as the kerbweight is only about 1080kgs!

Hi ukwoody. It could have been an Eriba as they are very light weight. Going back to first post. I did not know that some sites refuse continental vans, are there many sites that would object. As you can guess we have an Eriba. We have just come back from first weekend away in it and the only prob we had was that we had to put front end on first so that all door/awnings were opening the same way. If anyone has a list or where to get a list of sites that dont take these vans can they please let me know if poss. Hope you dont mind my butting in on your post carolbay.

Hi trevh

There is a thread that I put on the site last week "door on the right" (can't do a link sorry) and I had some very helpful replies and a list of sites from ValA that she had been on without a problem. I think that keeping a list somewhere (would this site do it?)would be helpful although I am embarrassed to say that I am not sure what the name of the site who refused us was!.  I looked at lots of reviews and can only remember that she said they were an adults only site before asking what the caravan was and dropping the bombshell!  It was in Dorset/N Devon area as that was the area I was looking at.

Pleased you hnad a good weekend and enjoy the Eriba.

Cheers
