You have to switch the remote on. From memory I think it's pressing left and right arrows at same time.
You also have to switch the mover isolator on. Usually a red switch next to the plug in point for your mains electric. That position stops you using the mover while the electric cable is still connected.
Thanks, we think we have a faulty remote to be honest as the power button doesn't click when pressed and one of the other buttons, we're hoping to get it checked out this week, thanks for your reply👍
Not particularly familiar with the Carver MM, I've got a Powrtouch.
In general terms.
As said, the remote needs 'turning on' before it will function.
The remote may need 'pairing' with the control box to get it to work, the user manual will explain how. It should have been done at installation, but not unknown for them to lose the link and need re-setting.
The lights on the control box often have a 'self diagnostic' function, often at switch on, that gives clues to correct function and/or specific errors.
Because they draw a very heavy current, they require the leisure battery to be in good order, and some have a safety cut out if battery voltage too low.
TBH, if it hasn't been used in 7 or more years, I'd expect a few glitches due to poor electrical connections (corrosion), and maybe even seizing/stiffness in the motor units. Every chance if not used it's not been within a sniff of any routine maintenance!
