We've just bought a little old Rambler and have had our first outing (about 5 miles down the road ...) We don't seem to have that double electric thing, only the single circuit which does the exterior lights, indicators, etc. The electrics hook up on site so we have light, radio and such.  But we haven't got a fridge and are too tight and poor to get one at the moment - the three way ones seem to be quite a lot of money.  We used a cool box and ice packs last weekend, but they weren't very good.  Can we use one of those little fridges like they sell in Argos, bearing in mind we can't plug it in until we get there?  Or does anyone have any better ideas?

Have you tried an electic coolbox? One with a 12v connector that fits into the cigarette lighter in the car. When you get to the site you can use a convertor to run off electricity. We use one of those in our awning and it take loads.

Thanks, hes called Bruno. A lovely big boy but not a very a good caravanner. He slobbers and drools all over every window when when we leave him in alone. Its like the place has been slimed! Other caravanners must think we're right mingers, lol. I spend most my time with a cloth in my hand then we go out and he does it again!!!
