I'm having a bit of trouble erecting a second hand Dorema awning, i've managed to obtain a copy of the Dorema awning manual from online but I can't find any diagrams or drawings. Is there anyone who could possibly email me a copy?
Can't offer a diagram (threw ours away), but I do know that we would have struggled to follow the 'diagram' that came with our Dorema if we had never put an awning up before! The awning is great - it's stood up to some foul weather, but the pole diagram was worse than useless - sorry.
If you can elaborate on where you are struggling, I might be able to describe to proceedure! If all else fails, we are in Leeds too .... always willing to help!!
As I said the awning is second hand and the poles were colour coded by the previous owner who said they would aid in the erection, colour to colour etc. However the previous owner had also suffered some storm damage where poles had been bent then straightened, some also had been adhoc replaced. This has resulted in a bit of a mismash of different lenght poles and colours that don't seem to match, a diagram of which poles went where would have probably helped me solve the problem easier. Meanwhile I have recieved some replies from others that may help further, if all else fails I will take you up on your offer
I,m not sure what model it is, I just took the measurements from the awning rail and bought cheap to suite, the lenght of the caravan is 18ft plus and the awning rail measurement is approx 1050centimetres and is close enough to the correct lenght.
The frame appears to consist of the two corners and one central support with two addition roof spars.
anythings better than nothing and from the written instructions in the Dorema manual it sounds like the general layout of all Dorema pole frames is very similar, if it's not too much trouble could you forward me a copy by email bardseybob at aol.com
Hope you don't mind, I've emailed you a load of diagrams that Wizard sent to me a few months ago. I was having exactly the same issue as you. With a little help from my friends on UKCS I managed to put it up this past weekend.
Thanks Surfer01 but I don't think the diagrams you sent are going to help, I'm not positive but I think they are for annexe's etc.
Hello Rouses,
I saw that you had attempted to send some info but I suspect that you probably got them back again, I made an error when posting my email address it's bardseybob at aol.com and not as previously posted, many thanks to you all for your help.
I have just noted that when attempting to correct my email address it doesn't work, for some reason when typing in the small a for my email address that when you activate and send the posting that it automatically converts it too at thus if you click what you think is the link it actually places an incorrectly email address in the send box
I have only just sent you the awning diagram at 1800 hours 02/09/08. just in case there is a problem receiving it.
I have a complete 1025 Dorema Madison awning with all the poles etc. If you want to collect it from Malvern, Worcestershire, you can have it gratis.. It is a 2004 model Madison and was blue but as it was used on a seasonal site it has faded blue. There are no rips in it and the zip on the awning front was replaced recently. On the rear it has a bit of green mould from being in the shade but the material is okay. Probably needs a good clean on the rear section but the rear section of yours could be interchangeable with ours. We are looking to purchase a porch awning sometime in the future when we have the cash.
I purchased a montana super lux in august from the dorema factory clearance. What a fantastic awning for the price, I ordered it my awning direct from the factory on a monday morning to my suprise and delight the awning arrived at 8:30 am on the Tuesday morning. Well done dorema
