As long as it is completely dry I can't see a problem with this.

We bring our awning home for winter, as Stuart says long as its dry no problem.

we have one of the small nylon awnings now such a small bag leave in bag in van,which is in storage luckly 10 min walk away so will be checking every couple weeks anyway..we packed it  when nice and dry,, up to buying that took the other one home stored in garage over winter.

vans are more sound than you think and we have had no major problems over winter .we always take seat cusions away from wall but thats all.we try to go to check at least onces a month..

We keep ours under the bed
