I can't give any specific feedback i'm afraid, however, initiallly we were really keen on this van. However, after looking round at the caravan show in October, we felt that the front seating area was just too small. The seperate shower was nice, however, not at the expense of the seating. Other than that, it was nice.
In the end we decided against buying one, and opted for a Bailey Ranger 540/6 GT which we pick up in a few weeks.
we are thinking the same, its the quality of the van, sep shower and back sep bedroom that appeals. The small seating area is def the sticking point! It would be better with L shaped corner seating in my opinion.
That's why we went for the Bailey in the end, we have one already and knew what we would be getting. The end bedroom with the kids is a plus in my book. The quality of the van I thought was good, and as with Lunars, like Bailey, they are relatively lightweight for what is included.
Hope you sort it out, let us know what you end up with.
We were going to get the lunar quaser last year until we saw the swift oakmere at a caravan dealers it has so much more room and bigger seating area !!!
The only one that I can think of with a separate shower and end bedroom with the triple bunks etc is the Bailey Senator, however, if I remember correctly its about £18k, and is quite a heavy van to tow.
The caravans with this layout are
Pageant s7 Bretagne-13,463
Senator S6 Carolina=17,025
Ranger GT60-13,404
RangerS6 540-11,251 and of course the Quasar.

Hi we nearly got a 546 but to get a realistic front bed you have to remove the front chest. As this is also the TV point this will be a real pain each night. The 7'1" width also makes the lockers a bit small.
We quite wanted a separate shower, but the front lounge was too much of a compromise so we end up getting a Pageant S7 Bretagne.
Have you checked out the Lunar Quasar 616. www.lunarcaravans.com it has the seperate shower as the 546 does, however I haven't looked to see what other differences there are. It has the triple bunk bedroom at the back, i think it's a twin axle, however I don't know if they have any other differences.
I really hope you find what your looking for. We pick our Bailey Ranger 540/6 GT in three weeks and I can't wait !!
It just goes to show doesn't it, how it's only when you really see a caravan close up that things become quite apparent. It was the seating which really put us off the Quasar 546.
Hi posted this on another thread started by FionaW1971 on same van :
Just finished our first year with the 546. We were lucky and ordered before last Christmas and took delivery Feb this year. Van has been excellent, children loved the area at the back and the shower is superb - often better than the ones on site! We looked at the Bailey and new Swift models, and prefered the Lunar because of the seperate shower and superb kitchen area - the Bailey has zero useable worktop space.Yes the front bunk is smaller than normal, but we have found it perfectly acceptable - even with the locker in place, and it is a worthwhile compromise to get the bigger kitchen and seperate shower. Anyway - it brings you closer together - and isn't that what it's all about !!!
Also check out the 2010 model - it looks as though Lunar have been listening to the critisisms about short front seating as I think they've shortened the kitchen and wardrobe slightly to lengthen the front bunks.
New to Caravaning, & after a lot of research we bought a New Lunar 546 last of 2010 models from Pleasuretime caravans Castleford. Have to say we are delighted with it, thoug havnt used another van to compare etc. The front seating/beds are fine (i'm 6.1) & if you dont fancy making them up to double etc cross ways the van, there plenty long enought to sleep as singles lengthwise. The children love the 3 bunk configuration at the back, all in all really pleased and looking forward to a good many years use from it
Hi Meyerman - the seating was lengthened at the expense of a bit of kitchen & wardrobe space for 2010 it was only the 2009 model which has the shorter seating.
I have the 2009 and its just perfect for us, we are a family of 4 and don't find the seating too small for us at all, we can all sit comfortably together but often the kids are in the rear playing at their table or on the awning floor. In the evening there is still plenty of space for us to each stretch out on the seats & we can even sleep at night quite comfortably in bed (with the bed made up) with the chest of drawers in situ.
Its a brilliant van and has absolutely everything we could possibly want apart from a towel rail in the bathroom!! The only other van which came close for us was the Coachman Amara 570/6 as the separate shower for us was a must but would've cost us a lot more & a fair bit heavier.
Congratulations on getting yourself a fantastic caravan - Im pretty certain you will love every minute of caravanning in it
