I didn't realise it gave no instructions how to operate it! I've got a user manual somewhere so I'll try and scan it and upload it. I've actually got several to get scanned but never seem to find the time?
Essentially you have two settings, electric Auto and electric Slow. Auto is both elements, ie, 2kw, and the fan speeds up and down automatically. On Slow you get one element and the fan speed is set more or less at half speed, the dial on both these setting sets the temperature. On gas the fan operation is the same but you control the output seperately by the fires control knob. The temperature dial on gas has no use, it's also of no use while set to fan only
The 2000 is the mk2 Fanmaster and works very differently so that's not much use, it does though for the most part cover the 4000/5500 Fanmaster, just the 2000 gas fire has a lower output
