Today I was at Campbells Caravans near Preston. They advertise in most mags. They have some new '08 model Adria 432PX 4 berths for £6795, list price was over £9200. A better bargain than many used models IMHO, 5 year ingress warranty and 2 years general warranty. Had a look around and was well impressed. Fixed 4'9" bed at the front, seats at back make into another double.. I reckon they're a bargain at that price. I have no connection with the company.
------------- Each life is short. Make the most of this one while you can, you may not have a Land Rover or skis next time.
Sounds a good price whats the spec on the van though, we looked at a cheap van and it only had 2 plug sockets no ariel, basic lights, cheap privacy door, plyboard under seats instead of slats etc we decided to pay the extra for a better quality and specifications but if its ok sounds great.

Had a look on the Adria website, looks okay for the cash but no oven or grill. It says that they are a couple of hundred quid over 7k on the actual Adria website anyway. Are you getting one.
------------- Jan:Braids Gretna, Feb Stanwix Park Silloth & Braids Gretna,
We had a 2004 432PX and loved it. Basic but bombproof, light and towed like a dream. Sold it last year for £4750, after paying £8500 for it new. So the deal you have seen sounds like a bargain. The new ones are uk specced too (i.e door on the uk side, smooth sides, and most i have seen do have an oven and grill)
Also saw them at Manchester but while i would say they were a bargain price i would not want to use one for more than a weekend. The seats looked very cheaply made an were most uncomfortable.
Eddie...we went to Campbells 2 weeks ago and saw them there. Did a bit of digging and cant say that I was put off particularly but decided to wait. Went to the Caravan show today at Manchester and had another look. The prices were very attractive. We then went and looked at the Swifts and Mayfairs etc that were around and to be honest I can tell why the prices are so low. The build and material quality just doesn't compare.
They look good now but cant help thinking what they would look like in 2/3 years time after a bit of wear and tear.
We have a Adria 542Uk 2008 (Oct 08), and could not give it any more praise than a total 100% satisfaction. OK it seems a bit Ikea on wheels. We looked long and hard for a 2nd hand van in our price range 6 - 8K bur came up with nothing that suited our needs or was in a suitable state considering age. But the Adria 5 berth 2 fixed bunks and a single that can all be closed off fitted our needs. As for Oven and Grill, we have used the van twice since october and have not found it to be a problem not having a grill or oven. It opens up a whole new way of thinking about cooking. We take the Microwave and have purchased a multicooker for this season. In terms of BBQ point, buy a cheap Asda BBQ and some Charcoal. its also a lot lighter than carrying a large Gas fire BBQ. Our Kids (1girl 10 and 1 boy 2.5) are slowly destroying the house so will see how the caravan hold up at the next outing.
One thing we did notice at the GMex show was the entry doors on a lot of modern caravans seems to be getting narrower. I have large shoulders and could not physically get into some of the vans with either turning left or right, but with the Adria No problem.
In summary Adria 542UK 100% Satisfied.

We have just bought an Adria 502 from Campbells and have just had a lovely week in Scotland in it. After many years in a tent it felt like luxury to us.
We have an Adria Altea 542 DK 2009 and it has been out 5 times since April and from 4-10 days at a time. Bearing in mind I have 2 boys (and I mean real boys, mud and all), the van looks just as good now as it did what I picked it up from the dealers.
I would imagine that if you are the kind of person that does not take care of your property it will look crap after a few years. Me personally, I clean and wash the van both before and after every outing.
Adria are a very good make and a serious contender in the british market for supplying good quality, low cost, caravans. Slovenia is the same place they are now making many kia's of which I'm sure you would agree the Serento and Sportage are good towcar.
Cheers
Richard

hiya we have an old adria 400b. Its a 1991 making it 18 years old and its still going strong. Yes its basic no oven only hob and grill but its been a great wee starter van for us. Yes we're thinking of selling it at the end of the season but only because we want something a bit bigger. We will really miss our adria as its been a great introduction to caravanning
It seems the non Adira fans have nothing else to add. I guess it is down to personnal opinion then.

We have an adria 542uk and love it...it has everything we need, we use a bbq for cooking and need storage space more than a oven...a fab caravan for the money..
We also looked at second hand vans and decided to buy new when we saw the adria..there are now quite a few new adria stored where ours is..so others must have the same opinion...
