Hi, we're looking at having one fitted but are struggling to find out the weight of our caravan, bought new 17 yrs ago in Germany.  Paperwork indicates that permissable laden weight is 1200kgs however the installation company say this is too light for the total weight given that the caravan is German made.  Please can someone help us?  Many thanks

It seems to be a very weak mover you are looking at. The Enduro , for one, will handle 1800kg, or 1450kg up a 20% slope.

The Enduro is good, but nothing more special than others.

LATER----, sorry ,mis-read the post, just realised you are needing the weight of the caravan, not checking if the mover is strong enough. ---It's been a long day

Could you take your caravan to a local public weighbridge and weigh it? I've taken my outfit a couple of times to check I'm safe - just drive on, tell the operator what I'm doing, un-hitch leaving the trailer on the plate, wait for the nod, then collect the printed weight reading, hitch up and off. Haven't been charged for this, yet.

If you don't know where yours is, try asking the bin men, and if they're unsure ask where they empty the truck; this is often the same place.
