HI I AM LOOKING FOR SOME ADVICE CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO CLEAN THE CURTAINS IN OUR CARAVAN. THIS MAY BE A STUPID QUESTION BUT IM JUST NOT SURE IF YOU CAN TREAT THEM LIKE HOUSEHOLD CURTAINS AND PUT THEM IN THE WASHING MACHINE THEN IRON THEM. CAN ANYONE TELL ME PLEASE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. DONNA

just had ours dry cleaned,not all as the small ones are ok but not the front.for the 4 large it cost £10 and the finish was first class.apart from the sun damage that is this left light lines.

Must confess I stuck mine in the washing machine! Didn't even think that they might shrink. They came out fine though. I suppose it depends on the material they are made from. If in any doubt I'd get them dry cleaned. You might find a laundry label tucked up inside the lining as well.

stupid question, how do you remove them from the track??? they seem awfy tight on the rails, I know my valance is secured with double sided tape but the curtians themselves are on a plastic track top and bottom

If they are anything like mine, Alan, you grab the little plastic fasteners that keep them in the tracks and .... pull.

If they are the sort of bobble fixing's just turn 90 degrees before you pull - others you have to unscrew the end fixing on the track and just slide them off. We've had both sorts - I'd check before you start pulling them!

I have mildew on my curtains..when I asked the dry cleaner she said it would not come off, and the plastic which is sewed across the top might crack...she did not want to do them...tried milton and salt/lemon...but to no avail.

oh i see mine velour might use carpet cleaner attachment in situ as van old may not get em back on will it be ok with velour any advice welcome for me too

have you tried mildew remover?
