Just been to Dunelm, and like last year, bought two big chunks of carpet 4ft x 1.5 ft. They are like large carpet samples, machined at the edges. Last year we put them down and our carpet survived numerous trips intact. The carpet piece by the cooker showed what would have gone on the carpet! I thought I would pass it on to you all, as they are in every carpet colour you can think of and are only £2.35 each!!!

Thanks - I'll be there tomorrow!  This is exactly what I've been looking for.  Have bought plastic runner for the kitchen part but wanted a carpet piece for in the seating area.  The runners I've been looking at were riduculous prices considering they wouldn't survive more than one season.

I got two last year when we were refurbishing the caravan, they were a great match for the new carpet I put down and really finished the job off.
