Following a service, I now find that I have an issue with all 3 front windows that have bubbled on my Bailey Bordeaux that I bought from a dealer last October. The service engineer showed me all 3 windows that are concave on the inside as well as the outside, hence they dont sit properly and consequetly they leak.
I have now called the dealer 5 times and on each occassion the Service Manager is unavailable. I have been promised return calls but so far I have heard nothing. What should I do now, continue to call them in the hope that they get fed up and finally talk to me or should I escalate the issue further?

Hi Nigel
I would take it furthur its just not on the way we paying public get treated spending our hard earned cash It just makes my blood boil where there are plenty of people willing to take our cash but give sod all service in return. I think to get a good reliable and helpful dealer nowadays must be as rare as the proverbial rocking horse s*** . Just where do you go for decent service in this country sorry for the rant!!
Steve
If he works Saturdays why not doorstep him. Take a flask and some sandwiches!
Or ring as somebody else to 'chat' and see if you get through. Talk to the salesman?
You could try Bailey direct - I remember seeing on here the name of a very helpful lady in customer service - maybe somebody else can remember her name - sorry I can't.
If the Service Manager, does not return your call say by 15.00hrs on the day you have called him, then phone back his office, ask for his mobile contact, email addr, speak to 'his' boss, or another Manger at the dealership.
Are you able to call into the dealership, yourself maybe do that and, but be polite & calm but defo be forceful, I have found sometimes this is better than a rant and rave, however if the calm approach doesn't work you could always rant & rave!!
Call them every day twice if need be until they get fed up of it and he does finally take your call, I would certainly make a note of when you called for him, who you spoke to and what they advised, this way when you do finally get through or speak to him you can advise him of how often you have tried and what you have been told by the dealership staff.
Keep trying & I really hope you get it sorted.
Windows are not covered under the second hand warranty that I have with the Dealer so the cost is all mine. I will probably have to do one window at a time although when I spoke to the my service engineer he talked about an etching kit that would need to be ordered at the same time??

if it can be proven that the windows where faulty when you bought your caravan then the dealer has sold you damaged goods that did not fit the advert. we had a simular problem with a supposidly reputable company, when they would not help we informed them our next actions where to seek legal advice, within 24 hours they had our caravan back and we in turn purchased a new caravan with another company, with the first company footing the bill for our deposit which should have been the old caravan. hang in there, they need your buisiness
