Posting on behalf of my parents who have just purchased a 2002 Lunar van. The curtains are very very stiff to close, any ideas on making them slide with ease. Is there anything they can buy/use to make it easier? I know with their old van a while ago when the awning was stiff to go around the van they were advised to use a little furniture polish which worked a treat.

i was in a market the other day and the curtain shop sold a spray for stiff curtain rails. ------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

I'd carefully put some WD40 along the rail, maybe on a cotton wool pad.

I wouldnt use WD40 on anything plastic, it makes them brittle, the curtain rail stuff is basically a silicon lubricant, any silicone lube will do, or a touch of fabsil whan you do your awning (which is silicon based)

In our M/home at the end of the season I take down the curtains and rails, then wash the runners and rails in soapy water as we do at home once a year.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
