We are just about to buy a new full awning after changing our caravan for a larger one.
My current awning is a Bradcot Classic which I bought new in 2005 and has been an excellent awning. However, looking at the new model for 2009 it has some chequered panels on which I dont personally like.
Consequently I am looking at he Ventura Atlantic with Fibre poles (1050cms) which seems to be about mid priced. We only use our full awning 3 weeks a year (2 weeks at summer and one week at Easter) rest of the time we use our porch, so ideally dont want to spend more than £1000 or so for a full awning.
Does anyone have the Ventura Atlantic that could let me know if they have had any problems with it. Alternatively can anyone recommend a good full awning for around the same price or less. We are only looking at blue / grey awnings as it matches our bolon and awning furniture.
We purchased a Ventura Cadet Porch & Atlantic Awning for our Coachman...as yet we have not used the Atlantic awning but I guess its similar to the Cadet just bigger and putting up the cadet we found quite easy and straight forward so I'm not expecting to many problems with putting up the Atlantic....
We had a Venturer atlantic with our last van and have just bought a Venturer Pacific to go with new van. More than happy with the atlantic but hubby fancied the 3m deep one and they don't do it in the atlantic. The Venturers are made by Isabella and we find them fairly easy to put up.
Dave - we have the Ventura Atlantic, bought it at the start of last season and used it all last year, and would happily recommend it to you. We have had several Isabellas, (still have an Isabella Magnum) and have no problems with the Ventura. The fibreglass poles are fine too.
Dave, go for the Ventura, we have had three with various caravans they are very good, there is only one better that being the Isabella, but at an increased cost.
There have been quite a few ventura awnings on ebay, we bought a ventura atlantic off ebay last year and its great we saved a fortune got it for £220 in sept it was only 12 months old
