Hi,  Have a seasonal pitch for this year.  Was just wondering how the ground sheet works out leaving it down for say six months.  Have one of the eco ones better for the grass if allows the air in or so I am told.  Was thinking of putting in pallets or some sort of flooring but is a lot of trouble to transport. Has anyone used ground sheet long term and how does it work out.

Depends on the site really.Some only allow breathable some dont seem to care.A lot depends on wether you can leave the awning up or not.If you can then a breathable sheet wont help alot as the ground wont get much light anyway.Another option is to roll it up and store it under or in the van when you are not there.

Best advice when you are not sure is ask the site owner,we always do wether it is a question about allowing commercial vehicles ,camp fires,dogs or what ever. We usually get a favourable response and the owners seem genuinly pleased we had the manners to ask.
