now im new to caravanning and purchased a new van for my family last year , having used it a few other the winter period we all went away over easter and enjoyed some warmer weather which was nice , but i have noticed the windows on which the sun pitches get some kind of condensation on them well more in them which then disappears when the tempertures dropped , i did notice this on a few other vans but wondered what caused it and does it need more investigation .

thanks

Mositure has entered between the 2 panels when it happens remove the small rubber bungs near the top of the window & it may evaporate.

My van is doing this but only on the front 3 windows, I read on here someone took their van for a service and being told about the windows being 'shot' and it gonna cost a fortune to be rectified!1 Id rather live with the condensation!!

Is it wet on the inside of the windows?  We get this in our 'van but having all the windows on the catch all the time even overnight does seem to help a little but there is still condensation in the mornings.  I open all the windows for a while until it has cleared.  It's the same with condensation in our house.

Be careful when trying to remove the bungs in the windows.  They can fall inside the two panes of plastic of the window and they are a devil to get out once this happens.

I have been trying to buy a replacement "bung" for one of our windows for ages but can't seem to find any.

the bungs are in the top corners , on the inside, to remove the bungs use a blunt round ended table knife or a tea spoon, carefully prise them out.

the space between the two window panels needs to dry out, this may clear on its own or you may need to assist it,

you can do this by using a hairdryer ON COLD , borrow one of your wifes small funels from the kitchen, put the thin end where the bung hole is and blow air through with the hairdryer  on cold and slow.

you should see the condensation clear gradually, then replace the bungs.

Snap. That happened to us. we haven.t found any either. someone did suggest trying  the cap off a biro. but to be honest for what its worth we just ignore it.  We found that the one we lost was brittle and half came out and half dropped inside. and there it stays at the bottom of the window.

Don't know where I'm going but will be happy when I get there.

It is between the double glazed panes, Im not that bothered about it I will put up with it til it gets on my nerves I dont want to be faffing around with bungs and wrecking the window even more. If you take out the bung will more moisture not get in the window??
