If you get the new part from me, I include a free help sheet telling you exactly how to do safely it in pictures.

In the mean time don't even think to use a stud extractor or 'easy out' as their sometimes called? that can be disastrous!! basically it needs cutting out.

Hi Gary

Managed to cut old stub out without damaging thread ( ground down hacksaw blade and lotsa patience and care ) and fitted new switch all working fine, Only prob i had when buying new switch from local shop i was assured it was correct one, But when i went to refit cowling i found it fouled on switch and if required the switch would not be able to release pressure, was on my return to dealer informed that a shorter version was not available ? mmmmmm, Solved prob by drilling a clearance hole for switch on cowling, just a bit of advice if any one needs it there are a short and long switch check you got correct one.

Basically that's how my help sheet explains how to do it, plus quite a bit more?!

As for the new type quick drain valve, the 'short' ones were superseded by the longer one with a 'toggle' to turn, you cannot get any other style.

If you need the older style which fits behind the flue cover, then pull the offending toggle out and to one side and it comes off, you then have a 'short' one
