Picked up our Bailey Ranger GT60 540/6 on Friday.

We picked it up from blackburn and drove it home via the M65 & M61 Boy was it windy on the M65. Only towed a trailer tent before so it was a bit nerve wracking to be buffeted by the winds first time towing a van. After we packed we went for a shake down weekend at Riverside in southport. Drive was ok, Car coped well and got there in one piece. Last year on the same weekend we took our trailer tent for a shake down see here .This time it was a doddle compared to that. Reversed in, levelled and put the legs down then spent the rest of the evening checking everything. All ok except the tv point in the living area, after following cables/ using multimeter/ unscrewing a panel i found 2 connections that hadn't been put together. Obviously not checked on the PDI.

Really pleased with it, kids enjoyed it and we love the bedroom area for them and they love the bunks. Only one thing that really cheesed me off was when we picked it up from the dealer the carpets were down and there was plastic on top of the carpets. On the saturday i took the plastic off and lifted the carpets up, under the carpets there was the plastic covering from when the caravan was built. I then spent and hour or so cutting the plastic as it was under all the seats etc and you couldn't pull it as it was screwed down. Should this not be removed in the PDI ?

Oh Wow what a beautiful 'van you have there.  I feel a little jealous but i'm sure i will be fine once mine arrives.  Due in end of June and i can't wait.  At least i can look at yours till then.  Any more pics of it to tease me with lol?  I've looked and looked at the brochures until i can now see the pics with my eyes shut lol

It really is a lovely 'van, i fell in love with last years one but once i say the GT60 i just fell in love with it and every time i have seen it since i fall more in love, i'm sure you will have many more wonderful holidays with her

Patience is a virtue!!  But i so want mine NOW too lol

When do you get yours? 

Hopefully the delivery date is the 22nd may and i will go through it with a fine fine tooth comb and i will take a tv with me to test.

God only help them if they say No to me testing.

Oh that's a good idea.  We will sleep in it the 1st night, just to check everything works ok (well that's my story and i'm keeping to it lol) we are off to Scotland in August so want to know that everything is as it should be before we go.

I think they will show you everything anyway at the time of pick up and i think from reading posts on here that that will take about 1 1/2 hours.

I can see why you are getting impatient as that's only next week, bet you are getting really excited :)
