yes wash it over with a damp cloth on BOTH sides of the blind then when it rolls up again it wont pick up the dirt! and make sure you leave it to dry properly or use paper towel to dry it off, we have to do this more or less every time we use the van due to where our storage is.

Thanks for the tip i will do that, but i still can not get these soot marks that are on the blind at the moment. As i said i have tryed most things to no avail. Telephoned local caravan dealer, all they want to do is sell me a new blind, and then i have got all the hassle of trying to fit it, plus the expence. HELP APRESIATED

Crikey jjim - you got shares in cilit bang - that's twice you've recommended it!!  no, in all seriousness, it probably will work, just don't leave it on too long.

If the worst comes to the worst & you do need to replace the blind, then try

http://www.caravanbreakers.net/30840/info.php?p=1&pno=0

They deliver & have loads of stuff so you could get a secondhand one at a reasonable price - just be sure that you know what the price of a new one would be first as they can be a little overpriced for some things, even secondhand

Bringing up baby to be a seasoned caravanner - we bought one to holiday cheaply - working well so far - & caravanners are lovely - helped us on our virgin voyage & our awning!!!
