to tell the truth ..i've never been in 20 years of rallying..never even thought about it ..but now i'm retired who knows ..but i prefer my own centre rallies anyway ..
We are thinking of going. Never been to a rally of any sort. Not sure what goes on at a rally like this. I am thinking it might be like a show with a few traders there.
were waiting to hear from our local cc centre , so we can start rallying , but not doing the national one as a, thought it was expensive, and b, booked already to goto birchwood farm for the week
We're going - I have just bought my OWN first van - went to the National with my parents around about 1985 and had a great time - you'll have a good time !.
We went to our first National Rally in Norfolk last year and said - we'd never do it again.
If you like being surrounded by hundreds of caravans and your only view from every window - is another caravan - then fine. But we found it too big, too impersonal, no privacy, wall to wall caravans - and just like living in a huge regimented carpark.
We thought we'd give the 'rally experience' a try but found it's not for us. Not that we're anti-social by any means - just don't like being surrounded by masses of caravans in a big, open, uninteresting field.

What did you expect it to be when you go on a rally with at least 3,000 caravans and 10,000 people?
I like my own space and privacy and i get that too i just love it.
We looked at the national we have always wanted to try it, but we thought it a bit expensive especially as we couldn't find out what if any of the entertainment was included, and when we saw the cost of the evening entertainment together with it being limited availability, we decide it mightn’t be for us - unless anyone can tell us different?

We're on field E6. This will be our 3rd national rally.
We went last year and loved it, we are getting all the competition bits ready at the moment and are on field E3.
We went to the 06 and 07 nationals but missed last yr. We started going because my brother is a trader there and we love it now. We don't really get involved with the competitions etc because we've always got the dogs with us but we love walking around watching everything that's going on.
