 lol OH insisted we buy the biggest awning we could get , to go with the huge caravan .now we tried it on the van last night for the first time , and i have to admit once its up its pretty impressive, and plenty of room for all 3 kids and their bedroom tents.

 took 3 of us an hour to erect , but not too bad for a first try.

 my question is , has anyone ever had problems with campsites? is there a maximum allowed width on some , or is an awning an awning regardless of size? have to say i was surprised how huge it looked , and just hope we dont get told to take it down

Hi, we have a pyramid orion 3m awning and have never had a problem, yes it takes a while to put up but lovely when it is up. We only use it if staying somewhere longer than a week

Have used it about 8 times now and never been told to take it down

We have a bradcot classic plus and have only put it up once because we only bought it last september.  We went on a wide caravan club site pitch and had no problems.  We are putting it up this next week as well and then we cant use it again as we are changing the van and it will be too small.   I did take us a while to put up though.  The next awning will be the standard size though as the awning will be longer.

We have had a 3mtr and a 3.5mtr awning and never had a problem on any sites. 

Nightoff you will love your Commodore awning as I love mine.  Just changed the van and had it extended (in length) as I could not bear parting with it and it is only a year old.

We use Bolon flooring - which is expensive but wonderful.
