Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there's a decent online price guide for used caravans?

We've seen one we like today at Discover, its a Compass Magnum Classic 540, 2007. Up for £11495 but they will do it for £9895. Immaculate condition.

I've found one website but this van isn't listed and there's none on eBay to compare.

I'm sure that you used to be able to get valuations from the caravan club. Obviously ! they charged for the privilege. If i'm wrong, i'm sure we'll find out soon.

A Compass "Magnum" was a model built for Mendip caravans when they were in business, im certain discover took over both branches, well they certainly have taken over the Newport one, so try and compare it pricewise for a similar spec'd compass "Corona" if i recall correctly, as the price may be skewed a little as it was a dealer special model and unique to mendips.

Ring the CC for an insurance quote - they can tell you how much to insure it for and so you have a guide as to the value/cost.
