Thinking of changing to this caravan next year anyone got one yet and whats your opinion of the senator ranger as a whole and the california in particular.
Have got a eldiss oddessy 544 just now love the smoked windows, but the blow air heating is crap!
Had a bailey pagaent provence changed it due to layout, dont remember the heating being an issue on the bailey, we rally in the winter and go away at xmas and new year so need a warm van
------------- Off to Florida for first holiday abroad without caravan in years, poor wee thing will be untanned this year

Not being funny mate but we bought the pangeant sancerre which is identical to the senator california in dimensions and layout , after looking at the california we were of the opinion that difference between the two vans did not warrant the £2,000 extra as for you extra cash all you get extra is (1) onboard water tank
(2)tracker for one year
(3) flat screen tv with dvd
(4) alko wheel lock
(5) heated towel rail
(6) electric flush toilet
And a few cosmetic changes which is hardly worth £2000 in price difference
Hi there, we got one of the first off the production line back in Feb and would not change it for the world. We had the same layout before but with a tiny little bathroom and WC. we always wanted the rear batheroom but i did not want to go twin axle. This suits us fine and love everyhting. At one point we thought we would wait for the Sancerre but to be honest we did not like the interior. All down to taste really and what you like. I can see we will stay with this van now for a good many years. Good luck.
We took delivery of the van on 10th Feb. on the 13th we drove to a site near where we live as wanted to go away for valantines. We drove there in a blizzard and by the time we set up we were under 6 inches of snow and spent the weekend like it. heating was great only needed the warm air where as in our old van when we were away for new year we needed warm air and the gas running at the same time. Nice and cosy.

Couldn't agree more Sancerre is a cracking van and like you I didn't think the extra £2k was worth it and the Senator is a heavier van which will cost extra in fuel over its lifetime. Have to disagree with you re location of gods' country, I think you'll find its called Yorkshire!

well actually we only got rid of the wind up phone last year
On a more serious note did you read the article in the July edition of Practical Caravan mentioning the problem their reviewer had found with the flushing tank of the loo? Mine seems OK but the article did say Bailey were aware of several occurences of this pipe causing problems?
first was a 2006 Indinna, the second a 2009 Wyoming.
Like you we caravan all the year round, have had no problems, and the onboard tank is a boon in the cold conditions. No freezing up and no need for bulky insulated jackets. Even through the cold spell at the new year the heating was left on No 2 24/7 and we were nice and warm. Blow system works well but we tend not to use it too much as we are always on battery.
New digital telly is great, there were complaints with the earlier supplied ones.
Dont think the on board water tank would hold up to our xmas holiday in aviemore at minus 25 pipes all froze, the aqua roll froze solid (hubby forgot insulated jacket) took 3 days inside in front of the fire to thaw!!!!!!
we normally dont put water on board and use the facities on site. new year is rally mode so no blow air just good old gas we are further south and therefore its milder
Loved my pageant but think i would definately go for the senator. when is the senator due for an overhall ie series 8
