It's my 21st birthday next month and I would like to get an awning with money from my family.
I've been looking around and see that Argos sell 'Lichfield Skyline' awnings which sound half decent for the price. Only problem is that the pictures are poor and the description of sizes is not much good either!
I have a budget of £200 so can afford the biggest one they do but I'm not sure it will fit! It says "will fit all sized caravans with a STD kadar rail" but I have no clue what that means! My awning rail is 174cm from ground to ground... Not sure about the exact height but it's a small 2-berth so not too tall.
So, does anyone know if it will fit or have any pictures to share? I'm open to opinions on other awnings to buy too if you have a different one in my price range you would recommend.
Look for Lichfield awnings on EBay, £99 including delivery, brand new. From what I've read people seem to be happy with them as we were looking at one for our FC but haven't bitten the bullet yet!
Check your awning rail height - my small 2 berth was too low for some awnings. I eventually managed to find a porch awning that my dealer said I could take home and try. On my 12 foot van it is almost the length of the van and FAR easier to put up than the full length one.
We bought our nearly-new 950 Bradcot awning with annexe extension for £190 on Ebay last weekend. It's in excellent condition, the curtains have never been used and we're very very pleased to have won such a bargain. There are loads on Ebay at the moment, plus a few advertised on here too.
i bought my avondale with a lichfield awning.was a bit flimsy so i gave it away. i won a near new trio from ebay £27.00 i paid £105 to have it adjusted to my caravan. i also have a nr porch awning going free.
