what it says on the tin really, and if anyone knows, how much gas does it use,
Its a cascade if it makes a difference, Im going away for a week and a bit in a few weeks with no leccy or anything so will be relying on gas for water, showers etc, Im going to be out all day, so will put it on when i get back for a shower etc. so want to know so im not wasting gas.

hi you wont be wasteing any gas, they are on a stat, takes around 20 mins to heat.

water only gets to 70 then turns off .doing same for the first time,gas fridge,gas hot water,gas fire,just need a gas tv now.lol.

we used a site near us for 3days away with no leccy, used gas for everything and bottle was only 1/3full and it didnt run out (fridge on all day, water left on all day, used bbq at tea time, cooked full breakfast every morning, and kettle on plenty of times!!) and we are still using same gas bottle now and been away most weekends and we use van everyday  for a coffee as its stored where our horses are kept, i wished it would run out so i can fill it lol. as for tv we use an invertor lasts ages too,

cheers, Ive done non-leccy before, but this is my first bells and whistles van, ie hot water etc and the longest tap and drain site stay so will be needing that shower!!

does the gas actually switch off thenn, I thought it went down to a pilot or something like that.

I still wont be leaving it on all day with no one around

Because you never have to light it, I've always assumed there's no pilot light.

I always leave mine on all the time.

Also, don't forget to take the cover off the external vent, or it won't light at all.

It doesn't need one, it's just that it won't stay lit if it's still on (a safety feature).
