Can you take picys of the side`s rear and front of the van, then any dents etc you have evidence. may be a few inside might help as well.

Michael's made a valid point here. Our insurance states the minimum agreed security items must be fitted at all times (ie in storage and on site), but you couldn't absolutely guarantee their staff would comply or inadvertently forget to secure between yard and garage.
I've never had this request made of me and as far as I'm concerned, the van should be insured while in the care of the dealer, by the dealer.
Check with your insurance company, but don't sign that disclaimer.

In 36 years never been asked to sign. It can only be for their benefit. It means, I think, that its your problem if it gets damaged while its in their care.

What if a member of their staff damages your van while it's at the dealership?   Surely they must have insurance to cover this kind of eventuality? 

This sounds very iffy to me...I would be reluctant to sign such a document and at the very least, would ask my insurance company to check out the wording of the disclaimer before you sign.

If the dealer wont service the 'van unless they sign & no other dealer will service the 'van for warranty purposes, then the op has no option but to sign.

They just need to check with ther insurance co. to make sure they will be covered ok.
