A dear now departed friend of mine had a carlight caravan from the 1960's built on to a mercedes truck, there were only ten ever made. It was his pride an joy. Until ill health decided that he needed a change. i have some pictures of it (called Ruby)

it still had all the glassware it was fab, carlights were made to last

As far as i know she is, as far as i can remember someone bought it who had a caravan park in west wales, i would hope she is still about as she was very much loved and very rare

There was one of those vans at The Firs Caravan Club site this weekend, I thought the way the front locker opened neet. :)
They are a joy to own.  The pics above of "Ruby" and Elot's Carlight are lovely.
