sort to get????? We would like one of those that the sides and front zip out. we have a sterling eccles amythyst which has blue on the outside ( not that it matters LOL)
If you want the best buy Isabella. If the prices new put you off have a look for a secondhand one on Ebay there are lots and the prices are good, a secondhand Isabella awning is in my opinion a better idea than any of the cheaper awnings new.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
We have a blue pyramid Awning, It sgreat cheap to buy, stood up to some very severe weather in the gower in May and is still in good condition 18 months on.

thanks guys, we are having to buy a new one because ours is leaking after we cleanes it laest year - even tho we used fenicks awning protector it still leaks.
Bill is probably right when he says a second hand isabella is better than some new awnings. We bought our first second hand awning in 1995, kept it for 12 seasons & sold it on with the van, it's still in use with that van today.
I've been searching for a size 15 isabella to go with our new van until I'm blue in the face & can't find one. Perhaps we should have bought an awning & then got a caravan to fit it. I certainly don't intend paying their new list price for one though, we'll probably end up with another new Dorema Senator Lux. Considering we only use it about 6 weeks a year, they're a good awning IMO.

My Isabella still looks like new after 8 years and 560 days of use in all weathers. I also have a 25 year old Isabella Combi 680 porch that still looks like new.

we have an isabella magnum. It's easier for 2 ol farts to put up (i'm a wreck) and luckily fits all sizes of caravan, so each time we change van the awning still fits. Agree with Bill, isabella is def the best you can buy. Jan
We have just bought a Quest awning . put it up for the first time last weekend . I would thoroughly recommend it . Very well made and very sturdy considering its a size 18 . Was a bit dubious when we bought it because we had never heard of Quest. Have had a Dorema and Bradcot with our last vans but the Quest beats them hands down in my opinion.
We bought a "last year's" model Isabella Capri Lux in 2008 and it's superb. Strong and sturdy even with the carbon poles and just looks so smart - often find myself admiring it on the way back to the 'van!
If you stretch to it, I'd definitely recommend Isabella. We've had Bradcot and Dorema in the past but this one is streets ahead in quality.
Buying the previous year's stock meant a saving of at £200 on the new price so shop around.

Sorry to be the one that disagrees with mostly everybody, but I never see any additional benefit for going expensive. All I want is one which is simple, goes up easily (with no high-tech poles which easily break). They all have doors and fronts which zip out, plus curtains.
So it's always the cheapest in the shop for me, it's only for a few short weeks a year and to give you somewhere to sit when it's wet.
If you put them up with the same care, they all look the same, not that I care about what anyone else thinks
We have a Ventura (Made to Isabella design) Atlantic Verde with two end annexes and inner tents for all occasions (Son sometimes joins us with friends)
We like the quality of this awning and it always seem to go up easy and is nice and "taught"
The only difference i can see with ours and an Isabella is the logos, round windows and the "Double zips" (on Isabellas) on the side panels so that you can zip the side window (for extra privacy / warmth) back in when the annexe is on each side.
Apart from that we are well chuffed with it. It has carbon fibre poles that are light and flexible (not had any problems in any weather conditions).
End of last season we had it extended to match our larger van and it still looks like new.
i have a headache now
Looks like i have got alot of internet shopping to do, we go away middle 2 weeks of august so i ahd better get a crack on. Anyway thanks you have given alot to look and think about, oh and alos to argue with the huby over LOL
