Being new to caravaning this might be a stupid question. When we used to camp and use the gas bottle we turned it off after every time we used it. With the gas bottles being in the front compartment do you leave them on all day and turn off at night, or leave them on all the time until you go home? We will use EHU for fridge etc.

I always turn the gas off at the cylinder, usually when not in use. It might be a bit 'belt and braces' but we once owned a boat where it was pretty important to be gas aware!

best advice is do what you feel comfy with

I as a rule leave it on from the min i pull up till the min i pull away if your worrying about leaks then test first with fairy liquid

on all valves joins and taps with gas turned on librally smear neat fairy liquid all around if it bubbles nip it up a little tighter using 2 spnners/pairs of plumb grips if it dont bubble its fine

Same van as us! Lol Think they are getting more popular being light weight!

We turn ours on when we get to the site, leave it on until we pack up and go

Thanks everybody, think I will leave my one on too. It would be a bit of a nuisance unlocking the front compartment each time we used the four hob rings to turn it off.
