Quote came this week for renewal of insurance with Caravan Gueard for £238, asked CaravanClub for a quote got £214,,,,mmm slightly better !!! rang Caravan Guard back and told them about the comparison......well low and behold within a couple of minutes i had a revised quote,,,,wait for it,,,,,£180....EXCELLENT SERVICE and the cover given is better with a lower excess of £100 really pleased i said to the lady!! she then topped this off by offering interest FREE over 12 months as i was a repeat customer...WHAT A GOOD DAY, ask and ye shall get !!! hehe
Had the same thing recently with , my car , house , bike , and caravan insurance , saved a absolute fortune. Every renewal quote was well over the top from what i could find it for online , the annoying bit was both my cheapest online home and car insurance quotes were from the company i was already with , just shows that they're hoping you don't bother checking around for cheaper insurance , what a rip off .
Caravan Guard was about a fiver cheaper than CC for me too.
But by the time I`d purchased the two additional security devices and ensured they were fitted at all times (even when parked in the services).........
I don`t think so. The more conditions that apply, the more possibilities of disputing any claim. So not for me thanks.
we have same problem every year with our insurance,both car and house.We always go with direct line,but every year the renewal comes it goes up by over £120 p.y.we check on line on the comparison sites,then look on the directline site.It is always cheaper when we get the quote than the renewal.this year on home we saved £145 by doing it online.just ring them up and say we can get it cheaper online,why?and they give it at cheap price.They want the new business,and aren't bothered about existing ones
We've just bought a new van so have been looking at insurance. The old van was with (?)a company in Cheltenham, and they quoted me over £350 for our Adria, Saga wanted £300, but Caravan Guard came in at just over £200!!
our M/Home insurance is with Saga fully comp including Uk recovery is £217 a year

If you register with www.quidco.com there are extra saving to be made too. For the last couple of years we've insured the house with morethan but by going through quidco first we've had £75 back each time,. We now have three cars insured with them too because of the cashbacks!
i was with saga, but after first year price went up, changed to cc and this year was cheaper again, if it goes up next year i will change again, its the only way you can beat the system.
