i am so excited i am getting my caravan tomorrow, 1st time ever towing, (the man i brought it of is going to show me the ropes and give me some towing lessons before i hit the big road), i am like a child waiting for santa.
Counting down the weeks till oct half term, have to get some many things for the van, (well a girl likes to shop), and make it our 2nd home from home.
wish me luck with the towing.
btw its a bailey avalon 1991, (ok old but its in immaculate condition, 2 careful owners and now a happy mum and 3 children).
no sadly my beloved idaho xl went to the tent heaven after this years mamoth camping trip, i put her up may and took her down 31st aug, and did the same last year,, i got my moneys worth from her, sad to see her go, but i am so looking forward to my new tin tent.
good luck with your caravan, that is a lovely van, i already have my eyes on a brand new one which i hope to get in a few years time once my divorce money settles, going around the show rooms is a delight, my localish one knows me by name.
Enjoy it, you'll have lots of fun, and it will be easier for the odd weekends away as well. Wish I could get confident to tow though, must admit I leave that side of things to my OH, maybe one day - we'll see

yep santa has been and i have ompleted my first towing experience, had no problem hitching it up, and driving hte 20 mins though town traffic to get to the storage site, then i had problems unhitching it, but me, my friend and a kind lady helped me,
i love my new van and omg its much bigger then i thought or remembered, over 18ft long,
now my problem is i couldn't get the hitchlock down, tried and tried but couldn't, have to ring the people i brought it of to see how its done, my 1st thought is that it stays in the up position until i hitch it back onto the car.
Glad the towing experience went well. Sometimes the hitchlock handle can be a little stiff - probably takes some getting used to. I can never get our hitchlock on, but the wife seems to do it first time! Congratulations - enjoy!
