Hi everyone,
Have just gone away in our new van and have put our awning up for the first time (well my husband and father in law did - I had a good laugh from a distance) and it seems to be a good quality awning in good condition. The problem is its dirty. I think the previous owners had a seasonal pitch as it is dirty all over including the roof and has clumps of mud up one side. It isn't green just generally grubby.
Went to buy some cleaner from where we had the caravan from and they recommended not to bother with a professional cleaning product and just use mild washing up liquid with a brush. They said this would clean it up and wouldn't affect the awning being waterproof.
Has anyone used this method? Did it work? Did it rain in afterwards?
Please help its on a seasonal pitch and compared to the other awnings ours looks really unloved.
