We've also just bought ours (2 weeks ago) and we go away this Saturday for the first time...
I used to really enjoy camping but OH just couldn't keep warm overnight/eve/mornings and we wanted to go away at other school holidays (Oct, Easter etc) and you just can't do that in a tent.

Hi Ive had my new van for 3 months and had nothing but probs its cost me a lot of money and time back and forward to the dealer , now I need it urgentley does the dealership have to provide with a replacment van until mine is fixed
Great choice of 'van you picked there. Me and dh fell in love with the 520/4 but with 3 (mostly 4 when dd's friend comes along) we needed the 540/6. But the 520/4 is the one we have promised ourselves next time.

id insist on it.where did you buy from if you dont mind me asking ?
well done on your purchase. We just debating whether to go or not. We wanting to buy a Bailey GT60 540/6, just wondered if there were any there to view first though.
We looked at a lot of vans too but kept coming back to the Bailey Ranger. We wanted a fixed bed and like the space inside as well as the price!! I can believe the prices of some of the vans and to be honest, when looking inside them, they are very similar just with a much bigger price tag!
We are expecting delivery in Feb. This is because of my husband changing his company car then and putting on a tow bar. - Can't wait to get away - so many nice places to see!
SO chuffed - we went to the NEC today and put down a deposit on a new Bailey Ranger GT60 520/4.
So happy as we are new to caravanning! Been camping before but definately prefer the luxury of a caravan.
Hi, Sorry to be nosey but can I ask if you financed any of the caravan and if so what finance rate did you get ? Whilst at the show on wednesday I initially spoke to a black horse finance salesman who gave me a rate and told me outright that his rate would not beaten during the day.
During the day I ended up speaking to a number of others who beat him hands down !
Unfortunately this left me feeling that I couldnt believe a word these guys said !!
I never like those sales people either - It was black horse and he told us the rate was 5.9%. We put down a £500 deposit and the rest was on finance. How does that compare?

I was quoted that by the first Black Horse salesman I saw and was told I would not find any cheaper at the show. Then went and sat down with another who said if I was signing now with the dealer he would make a call to the office and try to get me 4.5 %.
I didnt sign but decided I would go back to number 1 to call him a liar but who stated I would never get 4.5 % but immediately reduced his quote and offered me 5% there and then.
At least Dick Turpin wore a mask !!!
Like the caravan salesmen they too must be on commission.
