There are several scams doing the rounds on the internet when trying to purchase caravans and some of these are through caravan ad sites. Buyer beware if they ask you for money upfront and give you 5 days to inspect a caravan that is delivered to you from a shipping company DON'T TOUCH IT WITH A BARGEPOLE. It is a scam.

We nearly got caught. Go by the usual rule : if it seems too good to be true it usually is.

How does anyone nearly get caught on a scam like that?

They are the type that allow these scammers to exist and ruin the internet for people who are not so stupid.
