I have recently been very nicely surprised by the Powertouch service. I have a 4 year and 10 month old twin axle mover. Last Fri. one of the motors would not stay wound in to the wheel. While I was looking through the paperwork that came with it I realised it was still in warranty. I phoned Powertouch and they diagnosed the problem, told me they would send out a new part for both sides (they said they may as well do both) and said a fitter would call to arrange to visit and fit them. I should have half expected this having read reports on here but it was so swift and efficient that I was still surprised. With service of this nature I can't think of a reason for entertaining the thought another supplier.
That is good to hear. I am just in the process of having a Powrtouch fitted to my new caravan. I have had a Truma mover for the last three years without any issues whatsoever and I must admit I was a little unsure about swapping makes etc.

Lets hope this one is as good!
Your post almost echoes my situation.
We had a Truma on the last van which apart from stop/starting was no problem.
We got a new to us van this year and had a Powrtouch mover ftted, as where we store it would take forever (and too much puff) to manouver into position by hand.
The Powrtouch is fine, easy to use but a little slower than the Truma.
We havent tested the warranty though!
However from what I have read, the service is first class.
------------- I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve 2008
nothing but first class service from my experience.first call for slipping rollers.new roller fitted within three days.second call was a loose or dirty connection resulting in one roller not turning.same again within three days the problem was cured by the fitter.third call was the fastest ever.we were at keswick site and the remote failed.after a phone call a new one was delivered to the caravan the following afternoon.he said send old one back after hols.brilliant.
My new to me van came with this already on. Ive never had a problem but should I then after reading this forum I know I wont have any issues! :-)
------------- Enjoying caravanning, realising what an expensive hobby it is and spending the family’s inheritance before they can get their hands on it!
I have read numerous articles in differnt newsgroups praising the Powrtouch after sales service, I now begin to wonder if they are as good as people make out.
I and several of my friends have the Reich 4wd movers and not one of us has heard of anyone having to use their after sales, which must say something. Another big plus point with Reich is that their after sales network covers Europe and not just the UK like the rest do.
