lock it or lose it is my opinion, all things outside are locked by chain.we only use club sites and have been at lease three where stuff is stolen, cables, water barrels ect.one unlucky guy said he a had lost three water barrels taken.can not see how an alarm can be fitted to the tv.ours cost £350 and would use it if there was such a product.we always set the alarm if we go out even on site.i have also designed a lock for the pump as this cost £45 to replace.the cost is irrelevant i do not want the inconvenience of going to look for a replacement on a sunday morning.the last problem on site resulted in a 30 mile round trip to buy new.thinking about it a wire lock could be bolted to the rear of the tv bracket and the other end under the bed to a length of wood.just slow them down a bit.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I leave tv and stuff fridge freezer, cooker stuff tables etc in my awning when am not there, But there is always someone near to us in there vans, they keep an eye open, never yet had anything stolen on the site yet.
my LCD tv cost £250.
I agree with you surfer.

Jan P has mentioned a "Kensington lock" but not sure if it will fit onto your Sony TV as i do not know where you could lock it on. Perhaps Jan could elaborate.

We have never lost anything on or off site. We have heard that people have lost things but have actually never met anyone who has.
Same as people who have been gassed in motorhomes. Insurance scam!!!!!!!!!!
Just to add. About three years ago when on a well known site, someone stole our gas bottle. At the time I raised a post on this forum as it had to be another caravanner on the site.

i have something like thisĀ screwed on the back of my tv, you key in your pass code in to it. and its very loud.
Link seems to have been removed. I was thinking of a bag that you could drop over your TV that had eyelets at the bottom so you could lock the bag over it but at the same time you coudl thread a cable alarm through the eyelets and connect it up to your caravan even if you passed the cable through one of the wheel. Although nothing will stop a determined thief at least it is abit of a deterent.

we arrived at clitheroe site and a lady approached saying be careful where you park as our cable and steps and table has been taken.no reason to not believe her.one guy at keswick had his tent and backpack taken as he did his washing in the washhouse.another guy was at the water tap one day and filling a small bottle with water saying he refuses to but another barrel as they just get taken.as for gassing thats another story, some are true.
