Had to leave our van on cc site at Durham . Had a week's "holiday" thre in snow and ice and not being able to go anywhere because of the conditions . other people on the site were able to go home because it wasn't too far for them . Hoping to get up to retreive 'van this weekend but condtions here are treacherous as well .
I know life is difficult for all but the only people that he;lped us were other caravanners - wardens retired to their mobile homes and didn't evcen come round to see how people were coping . It wasn't just the snow - as Joe says amount of ice on north facing end of van also.
The entrance to the site and the "road" were impassable for ordinary cars . Not sure what we'kll find when we go back up ..
Sooo maybe missing getting out in the van is actually the lesser of 2 evils !
Here's hoping for a thaw
